Unruly Girls

Nothing to do with unruly girls, I just like the way that sounds. I also like "Jarring Juxtapositions" and the word "Bedlam" but can't work those into posts because I'm basically the dullest girl on earth and hope to remain that way until forever.

Yesterday, I was invited as a stand-in to the dullest meeting ever in the coolest conference room ever...

where things perked up when the conversation turned to video games and I got into an argument with my boss over the evils of games. I said at the meeting that I want to get the new PS3 just to play Grand Theft Auto to which the boss sputtered something and made the sign of the cross at me. He believes that videos and the internet are ruining the youth of this country, blah blah, evil pedophiles lurking behind every tree, etc. I told him that it's his responsibility to monitor his children's use of games and the internet and if they spent too many hours on their Wii, it was his own fault. Well, there goes any hope of a bonus this year but what the hell.

I took today off, answered saucy text messages from The Carpenter (what?!) and had a feeding frenzy with Paul, the boyfriend-in-law and I took this photo:

Got stuck in traffic and took more photos:

and tried to figure out what is in this window...

The only thing wrong with video games is the cost. Your boss sounds like he is great at deflecting personal responsibility. I can only imagine the joy you feel every Monday morning. ;)

The thing in the window looks like a mannequin covered in platano peels for a papier mache effect.

--->"Bedlam! Bedlam! Video games will lead this nation straight into bedlam" I could see the thought process behind my boss' frightened eyes.<---

I think I've just proven that I'm the most tedious girl on earth!

The average age of "gamers" nowadays is 33! Where did the next generation of grown ups go?

American are already too fat, lazy and stupid. Now we will all be video game tranquilized as well.
