Entrevista

Avi of http://www.avitable.com/ posted his interview and asked for volunteers. Since it's a rainy day and I'm feeling bloggy, I thought I'd volunteer.

1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Even though I dream of living in a one room house made of stone on a cliff in Scotland; lately the idea of living near New York City but on a houseboat is very appealing. I'd have a house like Pippi Longstockings but without the horse or monkey. It would be docked on a bay not far from the ocean, someplace where the water is calm and the boat would face east.

I'd paint each room a bright happy color and fill it with things that have seen better days. I'd have just a bed in my room, a bed that is so big it fills up the room with no space for anything else. I'd have a line outside to hang laundry on warm sunny days and in the kitchen I'd have an old transistor, a big stove for cooking and windows that face out onto the water.

2. What do you want most out of life?

Right now? I'm determined to clobber a caveman, drag him by the hair back to my houseboat. I've decided that it's time to get serious about finding someone to settle down with. It's taken me alot longer than most women to want to get married or at least shack up but better late than never ever I guess. Besides, it's fun getting to know prospective cavemen.

3. What excites you?

I really have no idea. I guess it's not something you can describe unless you're talking about sex and in that case, really good kissing and general nakedness does it for me.

4. What is your proudest accomplishment?

Besides the obvious pride I have in my daughter, I'm most proud of the person I've become in spite of who I was before. Who would have thought I'd be the one taking care of my parents, in the same job all these years and basically still alive?

5. How many fingers am I holding up?

Eleven - oh wait, that's not a finger!

The rules from Avi:

Here are the rules if you want to keep it going:
Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
You will update your weblog with the answers to the questions.
You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

I was holding up three fingers, but thanks for playing!

Since I've already done this one, I won't follow the rules, but if you email me questions, I'll answer them in your comments.

I loooove the Pippi Longstocking idea!

Cavemen? Have you been watching too many Gieco ads?

I'd let you interview me but I'm afraid of what you'll ask.

You can't keep a caveman on a houseboat, you have to keep him in a cave. Duh! :)
